1. Introduction
Daily Kick ("we", "our", or "us") is a web application that delivers personalised, AI-generated motivational messages to help you stay on track with your goals. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights around your data.

2. Information We Collect
We collect the minimum information needed to provide the service:
- Account information — your email address and, if you sign in with Google, your name and profile picture as provided by Google.
- Goal data — the goal titles and motivation preferences you enter into the app. This is the content used to generate your daily Kick messages.
- Timezone — used to schedule your daily message at your local morning time.
- Usage data — standard server logs (IP addresses, browser type, pages visited) retained by our hosting provider for security and performance purposes.
We do not collect payment information directly — any future billing will be handled entirely by a third-party processor (Stripe).
3. How We Use Your Information
- To create and maintain your account.
- To generate your personalised daily Kick messages using the Anthropic Claude AI API.
- To send those messages to your email address once per day via the Resend email service.
- To store your message history in-app so you can read past Kicks.
- To improve the service (aggregate, anonymised usage patterns only).
We do not sell your personal data to third parties, and we do not use your data for advertising.
4. Third-Party Services
Daily Kick is built on industry-standard infrastructure. The following services process your data on our behalf:
- Supabase — database and authentication hosting. Your account data and goals are stored here. Privacy policy: supabase.com/privacy
- Google— optional OAuth sign-in. If you choose "Continue with Google", Google shares your name and email with us. Privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy
- Anthropic— AI model provider. Your goal text is sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate your motivational messages. Privacy policy: anthropic.com/privacy
- Resend — transactional email delivery. Your email address is shared with Resend solely to deliver your daily Kick. Privacy policy: resend.com/legal/privacy-policy
- Vercel — application hosting and edge network. Privacy policy: vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy
5. Data Retention & Deletion
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you would like to delete your account and all associated data, email us at ollie@ofrost.dev with the subject line "Delete my account" and we will process your request within 30 days.
Anonymised, aggregated data (e.g. total user counts) may be retained for product analytics after account deletion.
6. Cookies
Daily Kick uses a single session cookie set by Supabase Auth to keep you logged in between visits. This cookie is strictly necessary for the service to function — it is not used for tracking or advertising. No third-party analytics or tracking cookies are set.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top. Continued use of Daily Kick after changes are posted means you accept the revised policy.
